My name is Nikki Moore. I am currently a senior marketing major at Washington State University. I am taking an Internet Marketing class and one of our individual projects is to build a website to market a topic…the topic being whatever we choose. I decided that I wanted to make my website about something that I am truly passionate about so I chose snowboarding.

I grew up in Graham, WA and spent all of my childhood exploring and recreating in the Pacific Northwest. My parents are outdoor enthusiast and had me hiking, mountain biking, skiing, river-forging and backpacking at an early age. I started skiing around the age of 3. Graham is about an hour from Mt. Rainier National Park so that is where I first learned to ski. As I got older and learned that there were ski resorts that had lifts to carry you up the mountain I started venturing away from Mt. Rainier. My home resort growing up was Crystal Mountain. I decided to try snowboarding when I was 13 and fell in love with it. Now that I live in Pullman my home resort is Schweitzer Mountain.

I have done a lot of brainstorming about what I want to do with this snowboarding/skiing website/blog that I have just recently created. My ultimate goal of the website is for it to be a place where people who have a passion for snowboarding and skiing can share their love for the sport. The website features blogs on the local mountains including Schweitzer, Silver, Snoqualmie and Crystal. These will be the first few and I will continue to add mountains. It also features blogs on gear and entertaining videos.
